Urogenital pain in women

Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome

Urogenital pain is more common than you think. Chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) is characterized by chronic pain in the pelvic region without a classic cause, such as a vaginal infection. Chronic urogenital pain represents a distinct clinical picture, which we treat in an interdisciplinary manner in our practice. During a medical history interview, in addition to a general medical history, a pain history (location, onset, and description of the pain) should be taken. This includes factors that trigger and relieve pain. As part of a thorough physical examination, we perform a diagnostic exclusion process. We develop the assessment and treatment plan together with you.
