Typical symptoms / complaints
During menopause, various symptoms can occur. The most common are hot flashes and sweating. Other possible symptoms include irregular periods, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, genital dryness, depressive moods, and insomnia. In postmenopause, weight gain, hair loss, and back pain may also occur.
Complementary medicine can be helpful for menopausal symptoms. Herbal medicine offers a range of remedies, some of whose therapeutic benefits are scientifically proven.
-
-
- St. John's wort extract (Hypericum perforatum): Effective against depressive moods.
- Chasteberry extract (Vitex agnus-castus): Helpful at the onset of menopause.
- Black cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa): Effective for neurovegetative complaints such as hot flashes, sweating, and sleep disorders.
-
Side effects can include headaches, gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, skin reddening, dizziness, and, in rare cases, liver damage. Therefore, safe use is only possible with regular medical supervision and repeated blood tests.
Phytoestrogens are considered a "gentle" alternative to hormone replacement therapy, acting similarly to the body's own hormones, but with a weaker effect. Soy and red clover contain isoflavones, which are similar to human estrogen.
-
-
- Soy: There is no scientific evidence that soy supplements have any benefits beyond the placebo effect. Short-term use is considered safe, but long-term and high-dose use may result in side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort. Higher-dose and long-term use poses a risk of estrogen-dependent diseases such as breast or uterine cancer.
- Red clover: Also contains isoflavones with effects similar to estrogens. A therapeutic benefit against hot flashes has not yet been proven, and possible side effects are poorly researched.
- Hop flower extract: Calms and controls symptoms such as hot flashes and sleep disorders
- Rhapontic rhubarb, also Siberian rhubarb: Estrogen-like effect

Tea blends and other preparations are used to relieve menopausal symptoms. The following medicinal herbs play a role: lady's mantle, yarrow, sage, St. John's wort, hop blossoms, valerian, lemon balm, and hawthorn.
Bioidentical hormones are plant-derived and have the same structure as the body's own hormones. They are also known as body-identical or nature-identical hormones and integrate seamlessly into the body's hormonal cycle. The therapy gently and naturally replaces estrogen and progesterone during menopause. If necessary, DHEA, testosterone, melatonin, and other hormones are also balanced. The dosage is adjusted to the body's natural rhythm to restore hormonal balance.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a medical treatment that corrects hormonal deficiencies through the administration of hormones. It is used to treat menopausal symptoms but can also be used for other conditions caused by hormone deficiency. Hormone administration can be achieved through various methods. We offer individualized advice tailored to your specific symptoms.

Infusion therapy in menopause treatment
Targeted nutrient delivery via infusions offers an effective way to optimally supply the body with essential micronutrients, especially when oral intake is compromised by digestive problems or other limitations. This is particularly beneficial for individuals suffering from chronic fatigue, oxidative stress, or an increased need for certain vital nutrients.
Furthermore, these therapies can provide support for various health challenges such as a weakened immune system, inflammatory processes, or exposure to environmental toxins. Glutathione, known for its antioxidant properties, helps neutralize free radicals and protect cells from damage. Alpha-lipoic acid also supports mitochondrial function and energy metabolism, which has a positive effect on overall vitality.
In addition to improved bioavailability, infusion therapy promotes rapid and targeted action, allowing the body to recover and regenerate more quickly. The therapy is individually tailored to the needs of our patients, thus offering a customized solution to support health and well-being.
Our goal is to help you strengthen your energy reserves and achieve a higher quality of life in the long term. Please note that infusion therapy is based on comprehensive diagnostics and consultation to ensure it is optimally tailored to your individual needs.
